Colts’ biggest salary-cap hits entering 2022 offseason

The Indianapolis Colts will be rolling into the 2022 offseason with another solid standing in salary-cap space but that doesn’t mean they aren’t carrying some big contracts.
With the addition of quarterback Carson Wentz’s massive deal in addition to some big extensions the Colts signed during the 2021 season, the Colts have some players owning big hits against the cap.
Given that the Colts are likely going to be within the top-10 of salary-cap space when the new league year arrives, there won’t be several situations in which the team needs to restructure deals. It could certainly happen, but it isn’t as necessary for Indy as it may be for other teams.
Some of these cap hits include roster bonuses that don’t go into effect until March but since they are on the roster as of this writing, we’ll assume they will be until something changes.
So before free agency arrives in the middle of March, here’s a look at the team’s biggest salary cap hits entering the 2022 offseason via Over The Cap:
