Colts’ Shaquille Leonard expected to make debut vs. Titans

Indianapolis Colts linebacker Shaquille Leonard is expected to make his 2022 season debut, barring a setback, against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday at Lucas Oil Stadium.

Leonard, who underwent offseason back surgery, has missed the first three games of the season despite practicing in full in Weeks 2 and 3. After another full week of practice, Leonard was listed as questionable for the first time this season on the final injury report.

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Leonard should make his debut Sunday as long as he doesn’t suffer any setbacks before the game.

This is fantastic news for a Colts defense that has been missing its leader. Leonard is an electric factory and often provides energy for other players to feed off of. Not to mention, he’s pretty good at playing football.

The Colts have arguably the best run defense in the NFL entering Week 4, and Leonard’s return should only make that better. They’ll need all the help they can get with Derrick Henry coming to town as well.

It will be interesting to see if the Colts put Leonard on any kind of pitch count in his return but barring a setback during pregame warmups, The Maniac will make his debut.
