Colts Twitter unloads as Texans stake a big lead in NFL Week 1
The Indianapolis Colts played their first game in eight months. The feeling is awfully familiar.
The Houston Texans led the Colts 20-3 late in Week 1 as the Colts' tried to avoid their ninth straight season-opening defeat. The Colts rallied to forge a 20-20, but there are plenty of issues to address.
The Colts were 7-point favorites and had early momentum, but a mountain of mistakes helped Houston take control.
Indianapolis ended last season with a loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars in which it was heavily favored and needed a win to clinch a playoff berth.
Twitter reacts. Well, probably overreacts.
There aren't words strong enough for this Colts performance.

Colts best coordinator today is media coordinator Matt Conti. Rest of 'em stink, today.

Cool. Needed a Special Teams gaffe to complete my Sh*tty Colts Performance bingo card.

When you're in control of a game and let momentum flip, it's very hard to get it back. #Colts did it again today. This wasn't a game where they blew a double-digit lead (but should've had one), but it feels like a rerun of so many losses from last year.

The Indianapolis Colts arrived in Jacksonville on January 9th and apparently never left. This is THAT team. This is THAT performance. Trash. #ForTheShoe

#colts two turnovers cashed in for two TDs. Is Carson Wentz laughing his butt off right now?

Colts fans have so embodied the losing spirit that you can expect this talking point to be all over your timeline shortly: Don’t overreact to the team’s week 1 performance.

Stupid Colts gonna get my ass escorted out of a survivor pool in Week 1. pic.twitter.com/RdcKxHjyjN

On the road traveling back to DC and listening to the Colts game… so basically, they are the same team from Jacksonville back in January.
Got it.— Nilla Nillanovic (@JayNilla) September 11, 2022
#Colts getting cooked by Houston, without TY, by a Pep Hamilton offense, because of a Jerry Hughes revenge game, and getting out-coached in all 3 aspects while Carson Wentz is playing like Tom Brady for Washington.
Can’t take much more of this.— Jesse (@jcoast7) September 11, 2022
