Columbia Memorial Hospital welcomes new urgent care providers

Dec. 15—Columbia Memorial Hospital welcomes two new urgent care providers, Amber Toomey and Sandra Samuels, to the Columbia Memorial Hospital Urgent Care Clinics in Astoria, Seaside and Warrenton.

Toomey is a certified family nurse practitioner. Previously, she worked for the St. Charles Health System in central Oregon. She earned her master's degree from Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington, and her bachelor's degree from Linfield University in McMinnville.

Samuels is a certified physician assistant. She most recently worked as a physician assistant for Carbon Health in Reno, Nevada. She has worked in health care for more than 30 years, and served a variety of communities in her career, including the U.S. Army, the Chicksaw Nation and the Navajo Nation Indian Health Service.

She earned her physician assistant degree from Albany Medical College in Albany, New York. She has worked as an adjunct faculty member at the University of Nevada, Reno since 2019.
