The Mulehouse, Columbia’s downtown music venue, hosted the Pistol Annies on Monday’s episode of The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.

The county group that features Miranda Lambert, Ashley Monroe and Angaleena Presley performed on the stage of the 55,000-square-foot performance space located in the heart of the city’s historic district.

The Mulehouse was prominently featured as the group performed their song “Hell of a Holiday.”

The performance was televised to the show’s more than 1.5 million nightly viewers.

“It is one of the most surreal moments in my life to see this venue on a nationally recognized platform like The Tonight Show,” said Blair Garner, the radio personality who launched the music venue earlier this year.

Garner said the performance was made possible in-part to a decision to equip the venue with the infrastructure necessary to accommodate the crew and technology required for a television production network.

Columbia Mayor Chaz Molder watched as the trio recorded their performance earlier this year.

"Seeing them shoot a music video in our small town on the same stage where I had pre-school performances as a kid, was an experience I'll never forget," Molder said, sharing the experience in an Instagram post. "There are good days as mayor, and today was one very good day."

As the Mulehouse now continues to regularly host performances, the long-term vision for the renovated church includes a bar, restaurant and a boutique hotel.

“I am equally excited to be able to share the message of what a wonderful town we have in Columbia,” Garner said. “This is Columbia’s venue. I am hopeful that this is the first of many opportunities to showcase our town on a national platform.”
