Columbus boasts a hot lineup of food and drink events this week

In 2018, the first Columbus Taco Fest was launched in downtown Columbus inspired by the idea that a culturally rich event with beautiful city views, live entertainment and culinary attractions can transform our community. On Saturday, some of your favorite food trucks are returning, and some new faces too, so you can sample even more deliciousness than last year. And let's not forget the taco's number one teammate...TEQUILA! There will be live music all day, featuring local DJs and phenomenal local bands. This year's event will benefit Vet Motorsports, an outstanding foundation that helps to support U.S. Veterans and teach them the joys of motorsports.

Craft beverages are booming in Columbus and not just as barrels of beer. This tour showcases cider, mead, gin and bourbon, as well as a flight of award winning craft beers. We will visit Mad Moon Cider, Brothers Drake Mead and 451 Spirits or Watershed Distillery to learn about how they make their signature spirits. The tour begins at Wolf’s Ridge Brewing to discuss craft beer, barrel aging and sour beers. Throughout the tour, we will meet with owners, brewers, distillers and craftspeople who are putting Columbus on the artisan beverage map. This tour will include samples of artisan spirits, cider, mead and craft beer. It is well suited to anyone who likes to drink local and support independent businesses.

The scavenger hunt itself will feature five tastes from various neighborhood food providers. After the hunt, everyone will head to the super-secret happy hour location for a celebratory drink and – you know us – plenty of food. We’re not called Columbus Food Adventures for nothing. There will even be prizes.

At this bar and microbrewery with on-site brewing equipment, participants will take part in a brewery tour package that includes the tour, an educational session, a pint glass and a t-shirt. A beer tasting flight is optional. Choose from one- and two-person packages.

Attendees will relish the taste of wine all the while indulging in small cheese platters. Choose from a small cheese platter and wine tasting for one, two or four guests.
