Columbus native Jack Nicklaus to headline Ally Challenge celebrity shootout
Jack Nicklaus is returning to the golf course.
"The Golden Bear" will headline the annual Ally Challenge celebrity shootout Aug. 27 at the Warwick Hills Golf & Country Club in Grand Blanc, Michigan.
Nicklaus will be joined by Detroit Red Wings captain Dylan Larkin, former Michigan basketball player and ESPN analyst Jalen Rose, two-time super middleweight world champion boxer Anthony Dirrell and U.S. Adaptive Open champion golfer Kim Moore.

Each celebrity will play four holes in a scramble exhibition match at the Ally Challenge, a PGA Tour Champions event Aug. 26-28, to benefit charity.
Jack Nicklaus has competed in more golf tournaments than golfer
Nicklaus, a Columbus native, Ohio State honorary graduate and golf legend, is an 18-time major winner. He's recorded three more major championships than any golfer in history, has competed in more tournaments than any golfer in history and has the third-most PGA Tour wins behind Sam Snead and Tiger Woods.
Nicklaus was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2005 and was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in 1974.
This summer, Nicklaus was also named an honorary citizen of St. Andrews joining Benjamin Franklin and golfer Bobby Jones as one of three Americans to earn the honor.
All three rounds of the Ally Challenge will be shown on the Golf Channel.
