Columbus police nonemergency number back in service, city says

After a brief outage, the Columbus Division of Police nonemergency phone number is back in service, the city said Wednesday morning.

The city announced Tuesday night that the number was temporarily out of service and provided residents another line to call. The official non emergency line — 614-645- 4545 — has since been restored.

911 remained operational during the outage.
