These Columbus restaurants made OpenTable's list of 100 most popular brunch spots

Two Columbus restaurants have made OpenTable's list of the 100 most popular brunch spots, just in time for Mother's Day.

The restaurant reservation service compiles a list every year of the country's most popular brunch spots. This year's list is based on 13 million customer reviews.

The following Ohio restaurants were named among the most popular brunch spots in the country, according to OpenTable:

  • Cap City Fine Diner & Bar – Columbus

  • Lindey's – Columbus

  • Pier W – Cleveland

Lindey's and Pier W were also named the most romantic spots in Ohio by OpenTable earlier this year.

Cap City Fine Diner & Bar, part of Cameron Mitchell Restaurants, made the list, with an extensive brunch menu served on weekends until 3 p.m. The brunch menu offers cocktails, starters, soups, brunch combos and fresh salads. The menu includes lemon ceasar and blue cheese salads, blueberry pancake fritters, the diner meatloaf melt and more. The restaurant first opened in 1995 and has locations in Grandview, Gahanna and Dublin.

The other Columbus restaurant to make the list, Lindey's, at 169 E. Beck St. in German Village, has been an institution in the neighborhood for over 40 years. One of the longest-serving fine-dining restaurants in Columbus, the restaurant is set in a historic 1880s structure and is known for its picturesque patio and its elevated surf 'n' turf menu. For Mother's Day, Lindey's has a special brunch menu that includes quiche, eggs benedict and beignets.
