Columbus weather this week: Highs in the upper 60s and 70s, chance of weekend showers
After multiple severe weather events in the last several weeks, the National Weather Service in Wilmington has forecast a departure from the turbulent weather, with a mostly sunny week ahead, including highs ranging from the upper 60s to upper 70s and a slight chance of showers over the weekend.

On Monday, the weather will be mostly sunny, with a high near 68 degrees and a light south wind. Monday night will be mostly clear, with a low of around 40 degrees.
Tuesday will continue the sunny weather, with a high near 72 degrees and a light southwest wind that will become west at 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon. Tuesday night will be partly cloudy, with a low of around 51 degrees and a west wind of 7 to 9 mph.
On Wednesday, the weather will remain sunny, with a high near 75 degrees and a west wind of 8 to 14 mph. Wednesday night will be clear, with a low of around 49 degrees.
Thursday will bring another sunny day, with a high near 77 degrees. Thursday night will be mostly clear, with a low of around 50 degrees.
Friday will be mostly sunny, with a high near 79 degrees. Friday night will be mostly cloudy, with a low of around 55 degrees.
On Saturday, there is a 30% chance of showers, with mostly sunny weather and a high near 78 degrees. Saturday night will be partly cloudy, with a low of around 56 degrees and a 30% chance of precipitation.
April could feature warmer than normal temperatures and participation, according to a new report from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. The NOAA released a climate report Monday indicating an increased likelihood of above-normal temperatures and above-normal precipitation over the new few months in multiple parts of the country, including Ohio.
