CANTON – Comedian Bill Engvall has canceled two August shows scheduled for the Canton Palace Theatre.

Citing scheduling conflicts, Engvall's promoter recently notified ticket buyers about the cancellation.

Canton was to be a stop on his "Here’s Your Sign – It’s Finally Time Farewell Tour."

Engvall — known for his standup routine, the Blue Collar Comedy films and the sitcom "The Bill Engvall Show" — had been set to perform at 6 and 9 p.m. Aug. 20.

"Unfortunately, due to a schedule conflict with the tour, the August 20, 2022, Bill Engvall shows at the Canton Palace Theatre have been canceled," said a message to ticket buyers sent by Latshaw Productions. "We apologize for the cancellation of this show."

Engvall's website lists show dates for Aug. 5 in Illinois; two shows in Hagerstown, Maryland on Aug. 6; two Milwaukee performances on Aug. 19; and an Aug. 20 appearance at Cherry Peak Resort Amphitheater in Richmond, Utah.

Engvall also has hosted a weekly podcast "My 2Cents," appeared on season 17 of ABC's "Dancing with the Stars" and lent his voice to the animated comedy series "Bounty Hunters," which aired on CMT. His latest comedy special "Just Sell Him For

Parts" is available on VUDU streaming service.

Tickets ranged from $45 to $90 for each of the Canton shows.

Tickets already purchased will be refunded back to the credit card used in the transaction, automatically, in line with the venue's policies, which are explained at https://cantonpalacetheatre.org/ticket-policies/, according to the promoter's message.
