Comedian Jon Stewart will perform in York next month at the Appell Center

Comedian, writer, political commentator and television host Jon Stewart will be spending an evening with York at the Strand Theater on Friday, March 15.

This event will be a phone-free experience, and the use of cellphones, smart watches, smart accessories, cameras or recording devices will not be permitted during the performance.

Upon arrival, electronic devices will be secured in pouches that will be opened at the end of the event. During the show, guests can hold onto the pouches, but will not be able to open them to access their devices.

According to the event description, anyone seen using a phone during the show, will be escorted out of the venue.

The event will take place at 7 p.m. at the Appell Center for Preforming Arts. Tickets start at $65.25 and are available for purchase at tickets.appellcenter.org.
