ComedianKattWilliams to perform at Hartford's XL Center in October

Jul. 13—The "Dark Matter" tour is set to kick off Aug. 25 in Daytona Beach, Florida. The comedian will make stops in major cities like Miami, Houston and New York.

Williams has starred in comedy specials including "It's Pimpin' Pimpin'," "The Pimp Chronicles," "Kattpacalypse" and "Katt Williams: World War III."

He is also known for roles in films and shows including "Scary Movie V," "Friday After Next," "Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore," "Norbit" and "The Boondocks." He also won an Emmy award in 2018 for "Outstanding Guest Acting in a Comedy Series" for his role as Willy on FX's "Atlanta."

"Williams has been taking the comedy world by storm. He quickly developed a unique style of standup that combines articulate and sharp dialogue, rooted in conversations reflecting the American political landscape," the XL Center states on its website.

This is not the first time the comedian has visited Connecticut. He performed at the MGM Grand at Foxwoods Resort & Casino in 2008.

Other notable comedians like Gabriel Iglesias, Tracy Morgan and Matt Rife are set to perform in Connecticut throughout 2023 and 2024.
