From Kevin Hart to Steve Martin and Martin Short, Katt Williams to John Mulaney, Chris Tucker to Nikki Glaser and more, the next few months will see some of the comedy world’s biggest stars appearing on stages throughout Memphis and the Mid-South.

Here’s preview of some of funnymen and funnywomen, veteran acts and rising stars, who will be passing though the region over the rest of 2022.

Sept. 2-3 at Chuckles Comedy House 

Rapper/actor Tip “T.I.” Harris comes to Cordova during Labor Day weekend for a series of shows at Chuckles Comedy House. The Atlanta native will show off his standup chops with two performances nightly (at 7:30 p.m. and 10 p.m.) on Sept. 2 and 3. Tickets: $35 to $150. Go to Etix.com.

Sept. 11 at the Orpheum

Funnyman Joe Gatto — veteran of prank program “Impractical Jokers” and game show “The Misery Index,” as well as one of the founding members of The Tenderloins Comedy Troupe — comes to the Orpheum for an evening of comedy on Sept. 11. Tickets: $39 to $59. Go to Ticketmaster.com.

Tom Joyner Morning Show Comedy Tour

Sept. 16-17 at Chuckles Comedy House 

Chuckles Comedy House will host the “Tom Joyner Morning Show” comedy tour. A trio of comedians featured on the Joyner show — George Wallace,  J. Anthony Brown and Myra J — will fill the bill for four shows on Sept. 16 and 17 (at 7:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. each night). Tickets: $42.50. Go to Etix.com.

Sept. 24 at the Orpheum 

Comedy legends Steve Martin and Martin Short bring their “You Won’t Believe What They Look Like Today!” tour to Memphis this fall. The stars of the current Hulu hit “Only Murders in the Building” will offer a variety of funny business as they headline Downtown’s Orpheum on Sept. 24. Tickets: $95 to $185. Go to Ticketmaster.com.

Fortune Feimster

Sept. 30 at the Orpheum 

Writer, actor and standup comedian Fortune Feimster is a familiar face to fans of E's "Chelsea Lately" and Hulu’s "The Mindy Project." Feimster — who starred in her own Netflix comedy special "Sweet & Salty" — will perform at Downtown’s Orpheum on Sept. 30. Tickets: $35 to $65. Go to Ticketmaster.com.

Sept. 30 at Gold Strike Casino 

Veteran actor, sketch performer and standup Marlon Wayans makes his way back to the Mid-South. The “In Living Color” and “White Chicks” star will headline a comedy concert at the Gold Strike Casino in Tunica on Sept. 30. Tickets: $39 to $69. Go to Ticketmaster.com.

Oct. 8 at FedExForum 

Former “Saturday Night Live” writer and Emmy-winning actor and comedian John Mulaney brings his “From Scratch” tour to Downtown’s FedExForum. Mulaney, who won kudos for his 2018 “Kid Gorgeous” tour and Netflix standup special will appear at the Forum on Oct. 8. This event will be a phone-free experience. Use of phones will not be permitted in the performance space. Upon arrival at the venue, phones will be secured in individual Yondr pouches that will be opened at the end of the event. Alt-comedy favorite Kyle Kinane has a history of hilarious appearance in Memphis over the years. He will be in the Bluff City once again on Oct. 12. Kinane — who has released a series of stellar comedy albums including 2020’s “Trampoline in a Ditch,” and starred in multiple standup specials — will headline a show at Lafayette’s Music Room in Overton Square. Oct. 21 at FedExForum 

Comedy supernova Kevin Hart returns with his first major tour in more than four years. Hart’s Reality Check tour will see the film star and standup king headline the FedExForum on Oct. 21. Per tour policy, upon arrival at the venue, phones will be secured in individual Yondr pouches that will be opened at the end of the event. Tickets: $56 to $156. It’s been nearly 30 years since comedian Chris Tucker first burst onto the scene, making audiences laugh with breakout appearances on “Def Comedy Jam” and “Friday.” The “Rush Hour” franchise star is enjoying a return to his standup roots and will perform at the Horseshoe Casino’s Bluesville venue on Nov. 11. One of the most electrifying comedians of his generation, Katt Williams makes a quick return to the Mid-South, following last fall’s appearance as part of his “World War III Tour.” This time, Williams is on the road for his “2023 and Me Tour” and will once again headline a show at Southaven’s Landers Center on Nov. 25. Comedian Nikki Glaser has seen her star rise over the last few years. In addition to a recent HBO special, she stars in her own show “Welcome Home Nikki Glaser?” and serves as host of HBO’s “FBoy Island.” Glaser is on the road this fall and winter, with her “One Night with Nikki Glaser” tour. It will bring her to Memphis and the home of Elvis Presley on Dec. 2 for a performance at the Graceland Soundstage. Tickets: $39.75 to $49.75. VIP meet-and-greet packages are also available.
