Music, movies and comedy highlight the lineup of events happening in Springfield this weekend.

Movies In the Park

The Springfield Park District will show "Space Jam: A New Legacy’" on Friday as part of its free Movies In the Park series.

The movie can be seen at Comer Cox Park beginning at sunset, about 8 p.m.

"Space Jam: A New Legacy" is an animated sports comedy starring NBA athlete LeBron James. In the movie, James partners with the Looney Tunes characters in a basketball game against avatars from an artificial intelligence. It also stars Zendaya, Don Cheadle, Khris Davis and Sonequa Martin-Green.

Little Art on the Prairie

Appreciate art Saturday at Little Art on the Prairie.

The event will be held from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. at Kristin’s Pumpkin Patch, 6300 Wind Tree Road.

More than 15 local and regional artists will gather and showcase work at this free, one-day outdoor art fair.

One Drop Redemption: The Bob Marley Experience

Get the ultimate Bob Marley experience at 8:30 p.m. Saturday at the BOS Plaza.

The concert will feature One Drop Redemption, the premiere Bob Marley & The Wailers Tribute show. The Debbie Ross Band will open the show.

The event will be held outdoors in the BOS Plaza with general admission tickets as standing room only. Lawn chairs and coolers are not allowed.

Suites will be available and include access to a private cash bar. VIP tickets include catered appetizers, private cash bar and private viewing deck.

Mr. Showtime at Donnie B's Comedy

Comedian David Scott, also known as "Mr. Showtime," will perform Saturday at Donnie B’s Traveling Comedy Show as part of the summer series.

The show will take place at 8 a.m. at Trade Winds Club, 1700 Knight's Recreation Drive, in the pavilion in the back next to Knight's Action Park.

Scott has been featured on HBO and Comedy Central, has his own nationally syndicated radio show and is the Guinness World Record Holder for the Longest Stand-Up Comedy. He will be the first professional comedian to perform outdoors in Donnie B’s 23 years of comedy.

Casual attire is encouraged. Drink specials will be available.

Father's Day at the Zoo

Spend time with your dad at Henson Robinson Zoo on Sunday in celebration of Father's Day.

Fathers get in free from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. with a regular paid admission which applies to all other guests.

Tickets are $7 for adults, $5 for seniors and children age 3-12, and free for children 2 and under.

Record Store Day

Both Recycled Records, 625 E. Adams St., and Dumb Records, 418 E Monroe St. will be participating in Record Store Day on Saturday.

Recycled Records opens its doors at 7 a.m. with fresh fruit for its customers. No Record Store Day purchases can be made until 8 a.m.

Dumb Records opens at 8 a.m. with a store-wide sale of 25% off used inventory and 10% off new inventory.

There are Record Store Day drops from Peter Gabriel, Collective Soul, Miles Davis, Ray Charles, The Go! Team, Keith Richards, Ralph Stanley and the Clinch Mountain Boys, Super Furry Animals and My Morning Jacket among others.
