Here comes the iPhone 6

Another major new iPhone 6 feature was just confirmed

Many smartphone buyers are waiting for Apple’s iPhone 6 models to come out, the company’s first devices that will finally offer bigger displays. Well, the wait is almost over. Rumored to launch in September, the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 and 5.5-inch iPhone 6 models will soon enter mass production, Reuters reports.

According to Taiwan’s Economic Daily News, cited by Reuters, the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 will enter mass production starting next week, while the 5.5-inch model will go to mass production almost a month later, during the second week of August.

The publication is also citing a report issued on Thursday by a China state-run news service, which said that Foxconn will hire 100,000 workers to meet Apple’s iPhone demands this year, which is in line with what unconfirmed reports said earlier this month.

Pegatron, the other iPhone 6 maker in the region, has also hired more than 10,000 additional workers to manufacture the new iPhone, as Apple is expected to sell up to 70 million iPhone 6 units this year.

Apple is expected to launch at least two new iPhones in fall, both featuring a completely new design, as suggested by many leaks showing iPhone 6 dummy units. The company’s iPhone 6 announcement could take place at some point in early September, with devices hitting stores by the end of that month.
