STORY: Welcome to this year's New York Comic Con

"If you're a geek or, you know one, this is the spot to be. It's kind of like nerd prom. You know, everybody gets dressed up, they come out with their friends. They get to do all the fun things.

Nearly 200,000 fans will pass through the Javits Center

and will be able to join one of the 300 panels, screenings and special events

“There's about 700 artists that are in our artist alley area, sketching and drawing and doing commissions. There's about a thousand vendors on the show floor. There’s everything from Netflix all the way to vintage toy collectors that are selling vintage toys and everything in between"
