Comics are changing. What to expect from new lineup in Times Herald-Record

In the news business, things are always changing. Breaking news, compelling features and the latest sports updates keep us all on our toes.

Flip back a few pages in each edition of the Times Herald-Record and you'll find one constant: the comics. Without fail, the funny papers deliver funny.

That treasured tradition is here to stay, but as we continuously evaluate our content and how to best serve our audiences, we're reminded that even comics have evolved over time to reflect the current culture and tastes.

With fall's arrival, we enter a season of change.

After surveying and listening to our loyal readers across USA TODAY Network publications, we have decided to update our offerings with a new comics package, embracing the modern while continuing to incorporate beloved favorites.

Starting Oct. 2, a new, refreshed presentation debuts in the Times Herald-Record's comics pages.
