Tomorrow is Kids' Day in Braintree
BRAINTREE – The annual Braintree Kids' Day celebration will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 26, at French's Common, next to town hall at 1 John F. Kennedy Memorial Drive. The free event will include games, music, bouncy houses and water slides. Free refreshments will be available, including hot dogs, snacks, water and ice cream. Mass Audubon hosting annual photo competition
MARSHFIELD – Mass Audubon is welcoming entries to its annual statewide photography contest, "Picture This: Your Great Outdoors." The contest is open to all ages. Photos can be submitted in one of these categories: people in nature, birds, mammals, other animals, landscapes and plants and fungi. Photographs must be taken in Massachusetts or at Mass Audubon's Wildwood Camp in Rindge, New Hampshire. The deadline is Sept. 30. The grand prize winner will be awarded a $250 gift card; 11 other winners will receive $100 gift cards; and at least six honorable mentions will win $50 gift cards. Lottery open for South Shore Charter Public School
NORWELL – The lottery to enroll a high school student at South Shore Charter Public School will be held at noon Tuesday, Aug. 9, at 100 Longwater Circle. Theater camp accepting students
SCITUATE – Break a Leg Theater Works will hold a two-week intensive Disney Camp with Thayne Jasperson from the musical "Hamilton" from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 8 to 12 and Aug. 15 to 19 at the Inly School Arts Barn, 46 Watch Hill Drive, Scituate. Participants will work with the Disney Theatrical Group as a member of the Disney pilot program cast. Students in grades 4 through 10 can join the camp, which will include dance lessons with Jasperson. The camp will conclude with the debut of a Disney musical production. The cost is $700.
