A handful of acts playing the Austin City Limits Music Festival typically end up taping episodes of the "Austin City Limits" TV show while they're in town, and this year will be no exception. Fest acts Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats, The War on Drugs, Adrian Quesada and Spoon all will tape the iconic PBS program in October, along with non-fest acts Adia Victoria and Pavement.

Eclectic Nashville singer-songwriter Victoria, who'll return to Austin in November as part of Lucktoberfest at Willie Nelson's Luck Ranch, will kick off the run by taping her first appearance on the show on Oct. 3. Colorado singer Rateliff and his band follow on Oct. 6, before their Oct. 7 and 14 sets at ACL Fest. Quesada, the co-leader of Austin band Black Pumas who recently released a solo album titled "Boleros Psicodélicos," is up next with an Oct. 9 taping after his Oct. 8 appearance at the festival.

Pioneering California indie-rock band Pavement, not an ACL Fest act, will make its "Austin City Limits" debut on Oct. 10. The festival's second weekend brings an Oct. 16 taping by indie band The War on Drugs, who first taped the show in 2015 and will play ACL Fest on Oct. 8 and 15. And hometown favorite Spoon will follow Oct. 9 and 16 sets at the festival with an Oct. 19 taping that will mark the group's fifth appearance on "Austin City Limits."

All tapings will take place at ACL Live. Tickets are free, with giveaway details usually announced about a week before the taping via the show's website and its social media accounts.

Texas songwriter Lyle Lovett & His Large Band will tape "Austin City Limits" on Wednesday. Country performer Parker McCollum, originally booked to tape the show in July, has rescheduled to Sept. 7.
