Photo exhibit at library through Sept.

KINGSTON  – The art gallery at Kingston Public Library will display the photography of Mary McGrath for the month of September. McGrath has combined her love of photography with her fascination with nonverbal communication to create an interactive exhibit featuring Level 1 Braille. McGrath has displayed her artwork at the Plymouth Art Center, The Art Gallery at Patriots Place and at the Maxwell Library at Bridgewater State University. The library is open Monday, Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at 6 Green St. For more information, visit kingstonpubliclibrary.org.

Scenes from Shakespeare to be performed at Thomas Crane Library

QUINCY – Shakspearian performers Stephen Collins and Poornima Kirby will  present scenes and monologues from some of Shakespeare's best known plays at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 18 at the Thomas Crane Public Library, 40 Washington St.  Scenes from "Macbeth," "Taming of the Shrew," "Henry V," and "Julius Caesar" will be performed to create an original work with themes of power, love and murder. Quilts on display at Marshfield Boys & Girls Club

MARSHFIELD – The Herring Run Quilt Guild will host its 16th quilt show from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 24 and 25, at the Boys and Girls Club of Marshfield, 37 Proprietors Drive. High holiday services to be held at Braintree temple

BRAINTREE – Temple B’nai Shalom of Braintree will observe high holiday services both in person and virtually this year. Rosh Hashanah Services begin on the evening of Sunday, Sept. 25 and will be held during the day Monday and Tuesday as well. Yom Kippur services will start the evening of Tuesday, Oct. 4 and take place all day Wednesday. Accessibility awareness event to take place in Scituate

SCITUATE – The Scituate Commission on Disabilities will host its third accessibility awareness event from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22 in the Scituate High School gym, 606 Chief Justice Cushing Highway. The event will feature at least 30 organizations and agencies that will share their services, programs and items offered to those who are disabled. Free. For more information, call 781-718-3526.
