Nashville’s first dedicated ramen shop is scheduled to open its first Williamson County location later this week.

Otaku Ramen opened in the Gulch in 2015 and has grown to include several locations around the Nashville area.

The eatery got its start when Owner Sarah Gavigan relocated from Los Angeles to Nashville and couldn’t find ramen she enjoyed.

“I knew I was onto my next weird, wild adventure when I found myself boiling 50 pounds of pork bone broth in my backyard at 2 a.m. After, a special guest we had over for dinner, award-winning Chef Erik Anderson, tweeted, 'COMING SOON' The best bowl of ramen Nashville has ever seen!” My life was changed forever,” she says on restaurant's website.

The Franklin menu will feature snacks like Otaku’s Hot Chicken Bun and a new drink menu including beer, sake, batch cocktails, frozen drinks and Boba.

As a Nashville native, Gavigan was incredibly happy to come home and open a business in her community, she said.

“We are so excited to be a part of the new Franklin Factory. I grew up coming here as a child, so this place has amazing memories," she explained.

Holladay Properties Partner & Senior Vice President of Development Allen Arender said he was excited to see the restaurant join the Factory's lineup.

“Their new location at The Factory has been widely anticipated over the past year, and we’re excited to celebrate with Sarah and her team as they open their doors and officially join our community here in Franklin,” he said.

The grand opening is scheduled for 11 a.m. on Feb. 10. The restaurant can be found at 230 Franklin Road.
