Coming Thursday night: public-input meeting on the future of S.R. A1A

State and local officials will seek public input on the future of part of State Road A1A at meetings on Thursday and Tuesday, according to a county news release.

The meetings are part of the Florida Department of Transportation's resiliency plan. The department "formed the State Road A1A Resiliency Strike Team to repair and strengthen approximately 13 miles of A1A," according to the county. Public Works Director Ben Bartlett and Coastal Director Jessica Fentress are among the representatives from Volusia County."

Both meetings will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. The first will be held Thursday, Jan. 19, at Ormond Memorial Art Museum and Gardens at 78 E. Granada Blvd. in Ormond Beach. The second will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 24, at Santa Maria del Mar Catholic Church Parish Hall at 915 N. Central Ave. in Flagler Beach. The information presented will be the same at both meetings.
