Comings & Goings: New services, new board members, promotions and new faces at nonprofits

Veteran-owned Go Getters Outdoor Services and Go Getters Washing opened in March, offering pressure and soft washing, junk removal, lawn care and landscaping services in the Hagerstown area.

Owner Austin Kershner said his business stands out in its knowledge and professionalism.

Unlike other power and soft washing services that just use water, he said, Go Getters uses safe chemicals to provide a better wash.

"We go full in-depth with our professionalism," Kershner said. "What fills our deal is how much knowledge we have and our experience."

Kershner first learned about power washing during the four years he served in the Marine Corps.

Go Getters is not in the market purely for profit, Kershner said; he also wants to help the community. The company is working to clean one house free every month.

"It makes me happy helping people; it's not always about money," Kershner said.
