Comings and Goings: Urban Air Adventure Park opening; Artemis Vintage closing

Urban Air Adventure Park will host a grand opening event for the new Harrisburg location.

The new building is located at 4200 Derry St., Harrisburg, at the junction of I-83, Route 322 and I-283 in the same plaza as Home Depot. The event is being held at 10 a.m. Jan. 6. The first 200 guests in line to purchase a Platinum or Ultimate pass will receive free basic access to the park for one year.

Opening

The Breakfast Store: 380 W. Market St., York

The Breakfast Store, located inside Penn Market, is now open. The stand offers breakfast and brunch options, including $5 breakfast sandwiches.

Expanding

Wagman has purchased 3265 Farmtrail Road, York. After construction and renovations, the company plans to make this the new main office in York for Wagman, Inc., Wagman Construction, Inc. and Wagman Heavy Civil, Inc., including Wagman’s Geotechnical Operation for the north, according to a news release.

The office relocation will allow for long-term expansion plans for Wagman’s Field Service Center, which maintains its equipment fleet at the current 3290 North Susquehanna Trail campus.

Wagman has been based in York County since 1902. The current building at 3265 Farmtrail Road was originally built by Wagman Construction. In addition to the location, it has a better space to work with and it features additional parking and green space with a walking path.

Wagman is working with Warehaus on design. Wagman Construction will be the contractor for the renovations.

Closing

MLR Ministries Clearance Center: 4185 N. George St. Extended, Manchester

MLR Ministries Clearance Center is closing. The MLR Consignment Stores in Manchester and Red Lion will remain open.

The announcement was made on Facebook. The last day of business will be Jan. 15. Sales are underway to clear the last of the store's inventory.

Artemis Vintage in the Royal Square District is closing. The company's other location, Boho-Bella in York's Market District, will remain open. The announcement was made on Facebook.

Rite Aid: 105 Old York Road

Rite Aid will be closing its Old York Road location amid the company’s Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing last year.

This location will close on Jan. 11. The closing joins other locations that are closing, including those on Cumberland Parkway and Wertzville Road in Mechanicsburg. Hundreds of Rite Aid stores nationwide have or plan to close as part of the bankruptcy.

Vincent Cannizzaro, founding director of York College’s Arthur J. Glatfelter Institute for Public Policy and the Master of Public Policy and Administration program, will serve as the new executive director for Pennsylvania Economy League Central LLC, based in Harrisburg. The League, a non-partisan, nonprofit public policy organization founded over 85 years ago, has regional membership in York, Lancaster, Williamsport, Scranton, Wilkes-Barre, Reading, Altoona and Allentown, and conducts work statewide, according to a news release.

C.S. Davidson Inc.

Jordan T. Good has been named C.S. Davidson Inc.’s new chief administrative officer, effective Jan. 1, according to a news release. Good succeeds John A. Klinedinst, PE, retiring from the engineering firm on Dec. 31, 2023, after 50 years of service.
