Comings and Goings: Want free sandwiches for a year? One business is giving them away
Primanti Brothers Restaurant and Bar is opening this week in Hanover, and to celebrate its newest location they are giving away free sandwiches for a year to the first 100 customers through the door on Thursday, Sept. 22.
Located at 300 Eisenhower Dr., Hanover, this is the chain restaurant's first location in Hanover.
A celebration tailgate begins at 5:30 a.m. with samples being passed out. Doors will open around 10 a.m. to the first 100 customers. The restaurant will open to the public at 11 a.m.
There will also be games, giveaways and a DJ.
“Most businesses don’t open their doors and then immediately give away the house to start their first day,” chief marketing officer of Primanti Bros Adam Golomb said in a news release. “But, we’ve never really been one to stick to the rules. And fans have been begging us to come to Hanover for years, so we’re excited to make it a reality.”
According to the release, the Primanti Bros. in Hanover will open as a full-service restaurant with a large bar, many televisions and expanded menu, which includes pizza, burgers, wings and sandwiches.

Nuclear Regulatory Commission Region I officials in King of Prussia have selected Corey Dukehart as the resident inspector at the Peach Bottom nuclear power plant in Delta.
Dukehart joins Senior Resident Inspector Scott Rutenkroger at the two-unit site, which is operated by Constellation Nuclear.
“Corey has gained invaluable experience during his time with the NRC through his participation in our rigorous training program and by virtue of his earlier time served in the Navy,” said NRC Region I administrator Dave Lew. “He will provide the region with an additional front-line inspector as he puts his acquired skills to use.”
Dukehart joined the NRC in 2020 as part of the Nuclear Regulator Apprenticeship Network, where he completed several apprenticeships in different areas of the agency. He also served as the acting resident inspector at the Ginna nuclear power plant in New York before moving to the Region I Office as a project engineer.
Prior to joining the NRC, Dukehart served six years in the Navy as an enlisted nuclear operator. He holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a bachelor’s degree in nuclear energy engineering technology from Thomas Edison State University.
