These are the commercial developments in Carlsbad

The City of Carlsbad’s Development Report is compiled by our planning and zoning Department. Part One of this report is related to upcoming commercial developments.

Dunkin Donuts: located at 851 S. Canal St. The representatives of Dunkin Donuts have recently acquired this property with the plan to demolish the current structures and place a Dunkin Donuts at this location. The owner has replatted the property and NMDOT has approved ingress from S. Canal St.

Champion Express Car Wash: located at 701 W. Pierce St. The contractor is 7B Building & Development. The valuation is $1,000,000.00.

New Riverside Country Club Clubhouse: located at 1421 Orchard Ln. The contractor is Trend Builders. The valuation is $3,000,000.00.

Advanced Heart & Vascular ASC: located within the Skyline Subdivision at 1901 Skyline Rd. This facility will be a new cardiovascular office and outpatient clinic. The owner is Clay Wilson. The architect is GUIDE Architecture, LLC. The contractor is R12 Construction. Valuation is $8,000,000. Work is underway. This clinic is occupying a temporary office at 2405 W. Pierce St. until the new facility is complete.

Shopping Center: located along National Parks Hwy. north of Chapman Rd. The plan is to locate up to 12 retail businesses within the shopping center, including a Marshall’s and a Hobby Lobby, and locate up to 8 restaurants along National Parks Hwy. The developers are Pegasus (Anthony Johnson) out of Albuquerque. The architect is Scharles Wilder. The developers have purchased the property and are working to recruit business partners for the site.

U-Haul: located south of the Financial Security Credit Union at the South Y, between Financial Security Credit Union and Pizza Inn. The permit for construction has been issued. Greer Construction is the contractor. The valuation for the project is $5,000,000. Work continues.

New Metal Building: located at 222 Pecan St. The contractor is John Myers Construction.

New Metal Building with Office Space: located at 5600 Production Ln. The contractor is Wayne Brazeal.

New Metal Building with Office Space: located at 4425 Grandi Rd. The contractor is Wayne Brazeal.

New Metal Building: located at 5326 Sierra Vista. The contractor is Desert Moon Construction.

New Office Building: located at 5238 Grandi Rd. The contractor is Truline Construction. The valuation is $225.000.00.

New Metal Building: located at 15 Comanche Dr. The contractor is John Myers Construction.

New Metal Warehouse & Office Space: located at 4425 Grandi Rd. Unit 4. The contractor is Wayne Brazeal.

New Metal Warehouse & Office Space: located at 1420 Industrial Dr. The Contractor is Pettus Construction. The valuation $425,500.00.

Shade Structures: located at 316 Pompa St., at the car wash. The contractor is Jaime’s Welding.

New Storage Building: located at 4923 W. Church St. John Myers Construction is the contractor. The property owner is Branson Properties, LLC.

Master Lube Addition: located at 1502 S. Canal St. This will add an additional bay to this location. John Myers Construction is the contractor. The valuation is $230,000.00. This project is 90% complete.

La Cumbre Partners Subdivision: located at 101 E. Fiesta Dr. This is a 5 lot industrial subdivision. This subdivision will expand the availability of industrial lots along the Canal St. corridor.

Jimmy Fuson property: located west of Standpipe Rd. and south of Hidalgo Rd., this property was recently annexed by the City and industrial zoning was applied. Mr. Fuson intends to build an industrial subdivision here that will access the West Carlsbad Bypass.

Solar Farm Project: located to the north of the intersection between E Greene St. and the George Shoup Relief Rt. This project will lease 22.5 acres from property owned by David Shoup. The company installing the farm is named Cenergy out of Carlsbad, CA.

Solar Farm Project: located on Hidalgo Rd. just south of the McKittrick Rd. intersection. The owner is Impact Power Solutions out of Roseville, Minnesota. This project will be approximately 33 acres in size.

Solar Farm Project: located at the west end of Weleka Lane north of Carlsbad. The owner is Impact Power Solutions out of Roseville, Minnesota. This project is approximately 36 acres in size.

Best Western: Located at 2601 Patrick St. The owner is Bipin Bhakta. Gallardo Construction is the contractor once again. This hotel will have 78 units. Work is underway. This project is 95% complete. Valuation is $1.75 million
