Community Bank location closing

Jun. 17—Community Bank N.A. announced plans to permanently close its branch located at 210 Church St. in the borough, effective Sept. 10.

Customers may continue to use their existing checks, debit cards, credit cards and account numbers during the transition.

The bank also plans to offer customers who have a safe deposit box at the Jessup location a new box at any other of its locations free for a year. Customers must contact a customer service representative at the Jessup branch before Aug. 20 for assistance.

Customers who use the night depository at the Jessup location should contact a customer service representative to make arrangements for access at another location.

The nearest bank locations are in Olyphant, Jermyn and Scranton.

All employees from the Jessup location will be transferred to nearby branches.
