Hosta work day Sunday at Hidden Lake Gardens

TIPTON — The Michigan Hosta Society will be present Sunday, Aug. 20, at Tipton’s Hidden Lake Gardens where it will be working to keep the hosta collection at HLG in “beautiful condition.”

The public is invited to join in the beautification work, which is scheduled for 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., a news release from Hidden Lake Gardens said. Volunteers are welcome to bring with them tools they would regularly use when gardening. Five-gallon buckets will be available.

“Since Hostas are known for being the ‘friendship plant,’ this is just the occasion to see Hosta friends again or meet new ones for the first time,” Hidden Lake Gardens said.

Hidden Lake Gardens is at 6214 Monroe Road (M-50) in Tipton. To contact HLG, call 517-431-2060.
