Kiwanis Triathlon Sept. 9 in Tecumseh

TECUMSEH — The objective of the upcoming Kiwanis Triathlon hosted in Tecumseh will not be an easy task to complete.

There are two options: A “short” triathlon costs $40 and includes a 14-mile bike ride, a one-loop paddle around Globe Mill Pond and a 2.39-mile run. The “long” triathlon costs $45 and includes a 14-mile bike ride, a one-loop paddle and an upriver paddle, and a 4.54-mile run.

An afterparty at Tecumseh Paddling will feature beer, coffee, food, vendors, games and more, a flyer from Kiwanis said.

Donations and proceeds from the event are being used to support the mission of Kiwanis, including funding and maintenance of the Kiwanis Trail.
