WORCESTER — A Community Chanukah Party and Menorah Lighting was held Sunday at Polar Park for the last night of Chanukah, sponsored by the Torah Center, Jewish Federation and the WooSox.
Around 200 people attended the free event including Rabbi Aviva Fellman; Steven Schimmel, executive director of the Jewish Federation; Rabbi Moshe Liberow; City Councilor Morris A. "Moe" Bergman; Matthew Levin, senior vice president/CFO of the WooSox and Mayor Joseph M. Petty.
The fun evening of festivities for all ages included a menorah lighting and latkes at the main entrance and a magic show, holiday activities, music and food on the main promenade.
