Twinsburg Historical Society Museum

History of Geauga Lake Park. Geauga Lake has a special place in our hearts. It was right in our backyard, but many came from far away to enjoy an old-fashioned amusement park with a midway, a dance pavilion and kiddie rides galore. John Kudley of the Aurora Historical Society will give a presentation and share memorabilia from the park at 7 p.m. Jan. 18. Snacks will be provided at the free event.

Valentine's Day cards open house. The Historical Society will host an open house will Jan. 29 about Valentine's Day cards. Adults and children can make their own Valentine’s cards, with a large collection of vintage cards to inspire them. Enjoy the regular exhibits too and chat with trustees.

Twinsburg Chamber of Commerce

Chamber After Hours: The Twinsburg Chamber of Commerce will hold an after-hours networking event from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Jan. 26 at the Blue Canyon Kitchen and Tavern, 8960 Wilcox Drive in Twinsburg. Light appetizers will be provided by Twinsburg Family Medicine and Foot & Ankle Center with a cash bar. Non-member guests are invited to attend up to two times before joining the chamber. Master Singers Chorale of N.E. Ohio

The chorale will begin rehearsals for its spring concert at 7 p.m. Monday at New Life Church, 4415 Darrow Road in Stow. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for registration. The spring concert will be April 23 at St. Sebastian Church in Akron. The main work will be Haydn’s “Little Organ Mass.” There is a membership fee per concert. Monday Night Writers

The next meeting of Monday Night Writers will be from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Monday at Leana's Books & More, 4317 Kirk Road in Youngstown. Area writers, both published and unpublished, are invited to attend. Led by professional writer Nancy Christie, author of "Rut-Busting Book for Authors," "Rut-Busting Book for Writers" and several fiction books, the meetings offer an opportunity for members to get group feedback on works-in-progress.
