If you’ve ever wanted to feel like a star, this is your chance!  Attendees will be photographed by several members of the paparazzi as they walk the red carpet into The Strand, where a dozen presidents of the United States (in cut-out form) will happily pose for selfies.

A cash bar with wine and craft beer will be available throughout the night.  Dinner includes a gourmet baked potato bar with a variety of delicious toppings.

The keynote speaker is Dr. Robert Schmuhl, University of Notre Dame, who will discuss the changing shape of the presidency throughout American history in his talk titled, “From Log Cabin to Trump Tower: The Presidency Amid Change and Conflict.”

Dr. Schmuhl is Professor Emeritus in American Studies and Journalism at the University of Notre Dame. He is the author or editor of 15 books, including his newest expanded edition, The Glory and the Burden: The American Presidency from the New Deal to the Present, which is being released on the day of the event. Copies will be for sale before and after dinner and can be signed by the author.

Tickets are $35 and include one complimentary drink. This event is also included in the $60 all access pass, which includes all the festival’s films being shown on Friday and Saturday.
