PCAC gives awards at Five County High School Art Show

OAK HARBOR - The Port Clinton Artists’ Club (PCAC) awarded three high school students with monetary awards at the Five County Invitational Arts Show hosted by Oak Harbor High School. The PCAC has a proud history of presenting monetary awards to high school artists in Ottawa County.

The Superior award went to Quentin Trevino, whose charcoal drawing of his cousin was detailed and crisp. A senior at Woodmore High School, Quentin took multiple photos of his cousin and chose an angle that wasn’t typical for a portrait.

The Excellent award went to Woodmore junior Brooklynn Neal for a Fauvism portrait of her niece. The acrylic painting revealed a colorful and sensitive portrayal of the young girl.

Honorable mention went to Sophie Repka, Woodmore junior, for her large pottery vase. Multiple techniques and design were used to create this fascinating piece.
