DECA collects over 2,400 food items

PORT CLINTON - Port Clinton High School DECA organized a district-wide food drive and the students and families of Port Clinton City Schools responded. More than 2,400 nonperishable food items were donated for the local St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry.

The winning class in each building won JT’s donuts, but the main goal was to help local families in need this holiday season. The response was overwhelming, as DECA students collected the items from each school building, sorted the donations, then needed a trailer to deliver the items to the food pantry. For more news from Port Clinton City Schools visit www.pccsd.net.
