Company that made Chiefs’ Super Bowl rings offers option for fans, but it’ll cost you

A year ago, a Chiefs Super Bowl LIV ring was put up for auction by a player who had been on the team’s practice squad.

While the winning bid was unknown, the ring sold for at least $16,000 and was valued at $50,000.

The rings given to Chiefs players Thursday for winning Super Bowl LVII are likely to be worth even more, given that they can double as a pendant.

Jostens, which made the rings, said it is offering a Super Bowl LVII Championship jewelry collection for fans.

One of the items is a limited-edition ring.

Here is the description from Jostens: “As a part of the Super Bowl LVII celebration, Chiefs Kingdom has a unique opportunity to purchase an exclusive piece of history. As part of their program, a Limited Edition Ring is being made available once again and is designed to be as close to the ring awarded to the team. Honoring the Chiefs’ 100 regular-season victories at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium over the last two decades, only 100 of these rings will be made available to the public for purchase.”

The cost: $14,200.

If that’s too steep of a price, Jostens is also offering Super Bowl championship cuff links, a belt buckle, ear rings, necklace, bracelet and a paper weight.

The least-expensive option is a championship key ring with “three football-shaped stones that pay homage to the team’s three Super Bowl wins.” It is “created in non-precious metal alloy only.”

The price tag on that item: $29.
