Compassionate Friends group will hold candle ceremony on Dec. 12 in Marion County

The Central Florida chapter of the Compassionate Friends, a group that supports families after the death of a child, will hold a Worldwide Candle Lighting at 7 p.m. Dec. 12. Candles will be provided for families to light in remembrance of their child, and a tribute video will be shown, along with poems and songs.

The ceremony will be held at St. Mark the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 7081 SE County Road 42 in Summerfield but is not a religious service.
