The Rams set two school records in bringing home the District championship.

“I am so incredibly proud of this team and their hard work and perseverance,” Flat Rock coach Katelynne Zipfel said. “It takes a village and our village bleeds green and gold. We have so much support from past coaches, alumni, and parents. We are so blessed to have our Ram family.”

The Rams set school records with a Round 3 score of 316.9 and an overall score of 771.5.

Airport took second with 768.18, Grosse Ile was third with 764.66 and Onsted fourth with 735.88.

Those three teams will join Flat Rock in Regional at Novi Saturday.

Jefferson just missed the Regionals in fifth place with 713.28. Ida was eighth with 670.44 and Dundee 10th with 637.36.

It was the fourth District title in school history for Flat Rock. The Rams also won in 2016, 2019, and 2020. The 2016 championship also was captured at home.

“Last year we went for the first time in 13 years,” Cadaret said. “We did really well. These girls really want to do well. They have been together for many years. They are friends outside of practice. We have eight seniors and they are really close.”
