Add olive-burger-eating champion to competitive eating star Joey Chestnut's resume.

The 16-time winner of Nathan’s Famous International Hot Dog Eating Contest inhaled 13 olive burgers in five minutes, beating Lansing's Ben Murphy, who ate five, before the start of the Lansing Lugnuts game Thursday evening at Jackson Field in downtown Lansing.

Fans gathered around and cheered for Chestnut, who stood at a table on top of the visiting team's dugout. Murphy took bites around each hamburger and moved it in a circular motion until he was done and ready for the next. Chestnut smashed the olive burgers into his mouth and chewed vigorously, like a log through a wood chipper.

Murphy was crowned the olive-burger-eating champion earlier this year when he ate 9⅟₂ burgers at Lansing's Olive Burger Festival.

When time was up, Murphy grabbed Chestnut's arm and raised it over their heads, solidifying Chestnut's victory in front of applauding fans.
