Athletics: Tuesday, in a win over Ardsley, Bernstein had 12 points, six rebounds, four assists and three steals. ... On Thursday, in an overtime over Eastchester, Bernstein had a career-high 31 points, 24 of which came in the second half, and the 3-pointer that sent the Bobcats into overtime. In the game, he was 11 of 16 from the floor and also had seven assists and three steals. ... As of Tuesday, Bernstein's averaging 18.5 points on the season. He's made 21 three-pointers and taken six charges. ... The captain of the basketball team was the MVP of the Briarcliff Tournament. ... Last season, Bernstein led the Bobcats to the Small School Section 1 championship. ... He's a member of the basketball team and was the 2021 team sportsmanship winner.

Extracurriculars: At Byram Hills, Bernstein is the Co-President of the Student Wellness Advisory Committee and the Vice President of the Red Ribbon HIV/AIDS awareness club. ... He's a Peer tutor for high school and middle school students and a Senior Mentor for ninth graders. ... Bernstein's been a member of Habitat for Humanity since freshman year and a member of the Talking Business Club. ... Bernstein's a Shevet Achim participant/volunteer helping children obtain medical coverage for lower-income children in country. He's been a Food Bank Volunteer, a campaign volunteer for State Senator Pete Harckham, took part in a Fundraiser for Pediatric Cancer Awareness, and is currently a volunteer for a basketball program at the Jewish Recreation Center.
