Country star Jason Aldean has picked Aug. 26 for his annual Pavilion at Star Lake date.
And he's bringing Munhall's own country star Gabby Barrett with him.
The multi-platinum Aldean brands this his Rock N' Roll Cowboy Tour, also including John Morgan and Dee Jay Silver.
The “Aldean Army” fan club can first purchase tickets at 10 a.m. Tuesday before general on sale this Friday at 10 a.m, at jasonaldean.com.
“I’m ready to get back out and feel the nights come alive,” Aldean said in a press release. “We are already thinking about the the setlist…there will be some songs off the new record like ‘Rock And Roll Cowboy,’ which felt like a great tour name because it's all about knowing you belong on the road."
Since finishing third on "American Idol," Barrett has amassed nearly 2 billion global streams. Her acclaimed debut album, "Goldmine (Deluxe)," features current single “Pick Me Up.” Her song "I Hope" is certified five-times platinum. Next to be honored at Billboard’s 2022 Women in Music Awards with the Rising Star Award, ACM’s reigning New Female Artist of the Year is also set to co-host the 57th Academy of Country Music Awards and nominated for Female Artist of the Year.
In other local concert news Monday, Pittsburgh-bred Steve Byrne announced he will lead a Night of Stand Up Comedy & Music to Benefit the Mario Lemieux Foundation on May 20 at the Carnegie of Homestead Music Hall.
