The Polar Express: Nov. 18-Dec. 28, Catskill Mountain Railway's popular event relives the classic story. Passengers are whisked away for a magical trip to the North Pole. Once on board, the Conductor will work their way through the coach and punch your golden ticket as you’re served hot chocolate and a delicious cookie by our dancing chefs! Passengers will read along with the classic children’s book, "The Polar Express," by Chris Van Allsburg. Tickets range from $32-$51 depending on date and time. 14th annual Holiday Lights in Bloom: Nov. 25-Dec. 18 on Fri., Sat. and Sun, nightly Dec. 19-23, 5-8 p.m., (arrive by 7:30 p.m.), Orange County Arboretum in Thomas Bull Memorial Park, 41 Grove St., Hamptonburgh, free, garden themed light display, no busses or groups of more than 15 permitted, no pets, no holiday boutique this year due to the fire. Brictacular: Nov. 25-Jan. 1, 2023, Legoland New York is decorated with thousands of lights, illuminated Christmas trees and will feature carolers, special sweet treats, and an eight-foot-tall LEGO wreath. Eggbert the Talking Egg: Nov. 25-Dec. 23, Eggbert’s working hours are: Fridays 3-7 p.m.; Saturdays 10 a.m.-5 p.m.; Sundays 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Devitt’s Nursery & Supply, 56 Devitt Circle, New Windsor, come visit Eggbert, meet his barnyard friends, walk his Christmas trail (it has expanded), try your hand on the new slot car track, drop a letter off in the post office for Santa, shop the holiday shop (open 7 days a week) and so much more. 845-561-1968. Cozy Catskill Holiday Revue: Dec. 17, 6 p.m. (PG-13); Dec. 18, 1 p.m. (all ages), doors open 1 hour early for holiday treats, Tusten Theatre, 210 Bridge St., Narrowsburg, tickets in advance $25; $30 at the door; children age 12 and under $15; $20 at the door. Holiday Whodunit for Children: Dec. 18, 1-3 p.m., (last reserved entry time at 2:30 p.m.), Staatsburgh Historic Site, 9 Old Post Rd., Staatsburgh, advanced registration required at bookeo.com/StaastsburghSHS, children age 6-11 and family members can attend the program, children become detectives and solve a mystery by interviewing costumed interpreters who portray Gilded Age houseguests and servants. At the end children submit a vote to whom they think is the suspect. Winners receive a $20 gift certificate from the sponsors, Oblong Books and Music and the Friends of Mills at Staasburgh. All ballots will be entered in a drawing for a prize.
