Concord Boutique Hotel, Bank, Biz Leader, Friendly Kitchen To Be Feted

CONCORD, NH — A boutique hotel. A regional bank. The city’s soup kitchen. And an architect.

What do they all have in common? They are this year’s Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce Pinnacle Award winners — awards given out to business leaders and orgs that have demonstrated professional excellence and worked to have a positive impact on the capital region.

The Hotel Concord has been named Small Business of the Year due to its prestigious ratings for accommodations during the past four years as well as its partnerships with other community organizations on events and other happenings.

Bangor Savings Bank, named Business of the Year, has two locations in Concord, on Loudon Road and North Main Street. Since coming to the city, it has worked on local buying programs that have promoted shops and eateries downtown.

The Friendly Kitchen, the Nonprofit of the Year, serves more than 40,000 meals annually in a caring and non-discriminatory environment.

Jonathan Halle of Warrenstreet Architects Inc. has been named the Business Leader of the Year for 2022. The company, which has been around since the 1990s, was modified to be an employee-owned design service cooperative — one of the first in the country.

Tim Sink, the chamber president, said the winners, like others who have received a Pinnacle Award, were worthy of highlighting due to their work in the community.

“We are incredibly fortunate to have such outstanding businesses and organizations in the capital region, and it is important that we shine the light on them and recognize their contributions,” he said. “The Pinnacle Awards is one way to do this.”

The W. Grant McIntosh Volunteer of the Year award and the Concord Young Professional of the Year award will be given at the luncheon, too.

The awards luncheon will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 18, at the Barn at Bull Meadow on Bog Road in Concord. Tickets are $45 and must be purchased by May 9. Visit this link to register.
