'Can for a Cone': Braintree real estate agency to hold food drive

BRAINTREE – Donate food and get an ice cream cone during a food drive from 4 to 6 p.m. May 26 at Lamacchia Realty Inc., 222 Forbes Road.

"We always want to give back to our community and to treat our clients," said real estate agent Nicole Vermillion. "This event is a way we can do both."

Donations from the Can for a Cone event will be given to the Braintree Community Food Pantry. Nonperishable foods are items such as canned soup, canned vegetables, canned meats and fish, pasta, rice or cereal.

Vermillion said they're also collecting toiletries including shampoo, body wash, toothbrushes and other personal care items.

Ice cream will be supplied by Ellie's Treats ice cream truck.
