U.S. Rep. Eric Burlison participated in a Congressional hearing on UFOs Wednesday, resulting in a push for greater government transparency on reports of unknown aerial activity.

Retired Maj. David Grusch delivered testimony to a House Oversight committee detailing his knowledge of a covert government program related to unidentified anomalous phenomena, otherwise known as UAPs or UFOs.

“I was informed in the course of my official duties of a multi-decade UAP crash retrieval and reverse engineering program to which I was denied access,” Grusch said in the hearing.

Grusch also said he spoke with officials who knew of recovered “nonhuman” aircraft, some of which contained “biologics” that were collected for study.

Burlison was granted five minutes to question Grusch, in which he inquired whether the contact with UFOs had been hostile.

Grusch was unable to give many details, but reported that he and his wife had witnessed something “very disturbing.” He said that many people had been hurt as a result of government attempts to conceal information about UFOs.

Constituents were invited to submit questions to Burlison, one of which he posed to Grusch.

“You’ve said that the U.S. has intact spacecraft. You’ve said that the government has alien bodies or alien species,” Burlison said. “Have you seen the spacecraft? Have you seen any of the bodies?”

“That’s something I’ve not witnessed myself,” Grusch said of the alien bodies. He indicated he could provide Burlison with answers about the spacecraft “behind closed doors.”

While the Pentagon has denied Grusch’s claims, he said it is likely that the U.S. has known of “non-human” activity since the 1930s.

Other witnesses recalled their interactions with UAPs, including former Navy Commander David Fravore, who saw an unknown aerial object on a training mission in 2004.

Another witness, retired Navy pilot Ryan Graves, said that he saw UAPs “every day for at least a couple years” off the Atlantic coast. Graves has since founded the UAP non-profit Americans for Safe Aerospace.

As the hearing concluded, Rep. Glenn Grothman, R-WI, the chair of the House subcommittee on national security, the border and foreign affairs, hinted at future UAP transparency legislation.

“Obviously, I think several of us are going to look forward to getting some answers in a more confidential setting,” Grothman said. “I assume some legislation will come out of this.”

In fact, a bipartisan group of senators spearheaded by Majority Leader Chuck Schumer already introduced an amendment earlier this month seeking to declassify government records related to UFOs and UAPs.
