Congressman tours Maryland post offices amid delayed delivery

Maryland's congressional delegation has no jurisdiction over the U.S. Postal Service, but they do have the power of publicity. U.S. Rep. Dutch Ruppersberger, D-District 2, on Tuesday visited two post offices on the eastern side of Baltimore County, where customers have reported severely slow mail service and delayed delivery. The Parkville and Rosedale locations that Ruppersberger visited Tuesday have been singled out by the Postal Service's inspector general and are currently among six post offices under audit.
