Richard Christian “Chris” Dillard was a former Communications Director for Beth Van Duyne for Congress according to his LinkedIn page.

- New information regarding the person who killed himself right outside of Representative Beth Van Duyne's house. Police say the man has now been identified, 55-year-old Richard Christian Dillard. We've confirmed that he was a former staffer for Van Duyne. Police say that Van Duyne and Dillard had a quote, "healthy friendship." They were reportedly in contact as recently as last month. It is unclear why he shot and killed himself yesterday.
