The Conjuring TV series announced at HBO

The Conjuring fans are in for another terrifying treat coming straight into their living rooms.
Horror lovers will get their dose of demonic possession on their small screens as the scary franchise has announced a TV series is currently in development at HBO. The show will debut on Warner Bros's newly rebranded streaming platform MAX (via Variety), combining HBO's scripted TV and Discovery+ onto one service.
Plot details for the show are being kept under wraps, but it seems the episodes will follow in the possessed footsteps of the original films, continuing that original story.

The Conjuring producer Peter Safran, who currently serves as co-chair of DC Studios alongside James Gunn, is set to executive produce.
James Wan, who stepped behind the camera for several films in The Conjuring Universe, is currently in talks to join Safran as executive producer. Wan is producing under his Atomic Monster Productions banner alongside Warner Bros. Television.
Meanwhile, The Conjuring Universe will continue expanding onto the big screen with the next movie chapter, titled The Nun 2.

Set to be released in September this year, the sequel sees Taissa Farmiga returning in the role of Sister Irene.
Four years after the events of the first film, Irene is called to relocate to France to investigate the death of a priest murdered under mysterious circumstances.
It soon becomes clear evil forces are at play as the protagonist (played by The Last of Us's Storm Reid) and Irene team up to face the demon known as Valak once again.
The Conjuring TV series doesn't have a release date yet. The Nun 2 will hit cinemas on September 8.
