Connecticut man injured in side-by-side vehicle crash

Aug. 6—A Connecticut man suffered injuries after rolling a side-by-side vehicle in the middle of Mud Pond Road and Cow Mountain Trail Junction in Dummer Saturday afternoon.

Dummer is in Coos County just north of Berlin.

The crash took place around 5 p.m. when Joshua Ratti, 44, of Tolland, Connecticut, took a sharp turn while "going too fast and rolled his machine on its side, in the middle of the junction," according to a news release from New Hampshire Fish and Game. He will be summoned for unreasonable speed, which was the determined cause of the crash.

Ratti was not wearing a seat belt or wearing a helmet and suffered multiple injuries, according to the news release.

A friend called 911 and the Berlin Fire Department, Errol EMS and Milan Fire Department responded to the call.

Ratti's machine was used to get him to Dummer Pond Road where Errol Ambulance was staged. He was brought to Androscoggin Valley Hospital in Berlin.
