Connor Heyward officially signs with the Pittsburgh Steelers

It is now official. The Pittsburgh Steelers announced on Saturday that they have officially signed former Michigan State football tight end and fullback Connor Heyward.

Exact details of Heyward’s contract were not disclosed yet, but OverTheCap estimates a salary of $705,000 in 2022 and a $182,740 signing bonus for a sixth-round draft pick.

Heyward’s rise to being drafted has been one of the best stories to follow in recent years. Heyward nearly left MSU after a frustrating start to his career as a running back, but a switch into a versatile H-back who can lineup out of the backfield or as a tight end has showcased his unique abilities and ultimately led to his selection in the draft..
